The Women’s March of Lodi recently announced a community event for late January. According to the their Instagram Page, the Lodi Sisters March is scheduled for Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 10:00am starting at Hutchins Street Square, and is coinciding with the 5th annual nation-wide women’s march.
In the social media posts, the group says this community event will be completely peaceful and open to all family and friends wishing to support gender equality. Any violent or hateful rhetoric will be left to the Lodi Police Department. Creative signs and banners are welcome. Speakers and performers that are interested in attending should direct message the group’s Instagram page.
Although located outdoors, masks are still required to reduce the risk of transmitting or contracting covid-19. Please remain vigilant as hospital ICU capacity has been well above 100% in the county for over a month.
