In the early morning of June 13th, a 25-year-old male was shot and killed in a neighborhood on Lodi’s east side. This is the third homicide of 2021 in the City of Lodi.
On June 13, 2021 around 1:32 am, Lodi Police Officers responded to a reported shooting at the 200 Block of N. Central Avenue. When officers arrived on the scene, they located a 25-year-old male with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.
While officers attempted to perform life saving measures until medics arrived, the victim did not survive and was pronounced dead on the scene. The identity of the victim still has not been released.
The case is still open at this time. The shooting that took place on June 13th was Lodi’s third homicide of the year. The first had occurred on February 26th when 29-year-old Cenobio Gallehos was shot and killed at the 400 block of E. Pine Street. A suspect in connection to that case has been arrested. The second homicide occurred on March 23rd when 35-year-old Aroldo Cubias was shot and killed at the 100 block of Cherokee Ln. Mr. Cubias’ case is still open.
