Two bodies were found laying near the railroad tracks between End of Century Park and Salas Park this morning. A suspect has been identified and booked in county jail. Update: Victims identified.
On November 16, 2021 at 7:52am, two individuals laying near the railroad tracks in southern Lodi were reported to the Lodi Police Department. The responding officers located two deceased victims whom appeared to have been stabbed to death.
Information of a third stabbing victim was provided to the Lodi PD shortly after the first two victims were found. When officers made contact with this third person, they determined he was not a victim but instead the suspect responsible for the double homicide.
The information on the suspect was given by a local crime stopper who goes by “Bruce Wayne.” He posted on the Lodi Police Department’s Facebook post with the following quote:
“He acted like a victim but I can easily tell the wounds and cuts on the hands were from him holding the knife and slipping his grip from the handle to the blade as he stabbed the victims over and over. Also the wound to the thigh seemed to be recently self inflicted and was fresh. Story didn’t add up behavior off nervous all the red flags you know. Sad two people lost their life because of this creep I’m just glad to catch him for you guys. The had just started canvassing the park towards Stockton street when I located him under the gazebo area near the bathrooms”
