A 15-year-old student at Stagg High School in Stockton, California was murdered by a 52-year-old trespasser this Monday morning.
On the morning of April 18, 2022 around 11:05am, an intruder drove to the front of Stagg High School in a black 2018 Honda Accord, entered through the front gate, walked up to a 15-year-old student and stabbed her multiple times during passing period. The assailant was then detained and taken into custody by a nearby Stockton Unified School District officer, and the school went into lockdown. This was made known by the Stockton Police Department during a press conference the same day.

The student was transferred to a local hospital where she died from her wounds. The victim was identified by the family as 15-year-old Alicia Reynaga. Her father said he does not know the man who killed his daughter, and that Alicia had no enemies.
A candlelight vigil was held by the family Monday evening in front of Stagg High School. “I just feel like it’s a dream. We’re just trying to wake up.” Manuel Reynaga, father of the victim, told KCRA’s Melanie Wingo.

The murderer was identified as 52-year-old Anthony Gray from Stockton. A motive is still under investigation. The Stockton Police Department has stated that this was a random act.
The Stockton City Government and Stockton Unified School District have been playing politics for years without getting much accomplished. None of their comments were worth quoting.
